Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for a full-time 2nd shift in China Grove, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trailers, ensuring safety and compliance while working Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am. Competitive hourly pay with a solid benefits package and PTO after 90 days.

The role requires experience with safety inspections, reading technical manuals, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Candidates must own tools and be dependable, with availability to work in varying climate

Qualifications

• Perform FMCSA safety inspections and document compliance.
• Able to interpret technical manuals and repair procedures.
• Experience repairing or replacing defective parts in trailers.
• Test equipment to ensure performance meets specs and regs.
• Conduct trailer PMs and repairs to manufacturers' specs.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must own your own tools and be dependable.
• Willing to work in varying climate conditions.

Trailer A Mechanic - $26.45 - $32.74 / hr.

Full-Time, Monday – Friday 2nd Shift – 3:00 pm to 1:30 am

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our China Grove, NC Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
