Job summary

Missouri Department of Natural Resources seeks a Park Maintenance Technician at Knob Noster State Park to assist with maintenance on Katy Trail State Park and Rock Island Trail. Tasks include semi-skilled trades, building upkeep, and grounds care, with attention to detail and strong customer service.

The role requires flexibility in trades, occasional licenses, and a 40-hour week schedule with Tue-Fri shifts 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., plus professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, concrete, masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, or mechanical repair.
• Basic computer and customer service skills for timekeeping and reporting.
• Equivalent to 1-3 years of trade-area experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled work in alteration, maintenance, natural resource stewardship and repair of state buildings and facilities.
• Work in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting, plastering and mechanical repair in park settings.
• Routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, campsites and park grounds.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, including tractors, mowers and related tools.
• Provide basic computer and customer service support for timekeeping and reporting; may supervise a maintenance crew.
