Job summary

State of Missouri seeks a semi-skilled maintenance worker at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Chesterfield, MO, to support park operations, grounds, and infrastructure. The role includes routine cleaning, repairs and collaboration with staff to protect natural and cultural resources.

The position follows a 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. shift, with some weekend and holiday work, and may involve duties at other state parks. Training and certifications may be pursued as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and grounds maintenance per facility plans and schedules.
• Direct and review work of seasonal maintenance staff.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and buildings, including basic repairs.
• Procure operating supplies, parts and project materials as needed.
• Communicate openly with the public, stakeholders and team members.
• Assist with vegetation management, controlled burns, and related projects.
• Attend mandatory trainings and maintain required licenses/certifications.
