Job summary

The Trail Conservancy seeks a GIS & Data Manager to oversee TTC's geospatial data infrastructure, including ESRI ArcGIS, OpenGov work orders, and related datasets supporting park stewardship and capital planning.

You will bridge field operations with technology platforms, maintain data quality and documentation, and produce spatial reports and public maps for engagement, grants, and City of Austin partnerships. A bachelor's in GIS or related field and 3+ years of ArcGIS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Information Systems, or closely related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS products (ArcGIS Online/Pro/Insights/Field Maps).
• Direct experience administering a work order, asset management, or CMMS platform (OpenGov/Maximo/Cityworks).
• Demonstrated ability to clean, manage, and analyze geospatial datasets; knowledge of shapefile/GeoJSON/geodatabase formats.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to produce clear reports and stakeholder briefings.

Responsibilities

• Administer TTC's ArcGIS ecosystem and licenses; manage data layers and platform configuration.
• Maintain and update geospatial datasets for park areas and assets.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation for data systems.
• Produce trail condition maps, incident heat maps, and spatial reports for leadership and partners.
• Develop community-facing maps, dashboards, and StoryMaps; support grant reporting.
