Job summary

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is seeking a GIS Analyst II/III to manage geospatial data for the Facility Asset Management System, Park Business System, and related resources. You will design geodatabases, develop mapping applications, and support division-wide GIS initiatives.

The role requires ESRI software expertise, strong data-management skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, multi-user environment. A Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field.
• Two years of GIS data management experience for GIS Analyst III; six months for GIS Analyst II.
• Experience with ESRI geospatial tools and mapping applications.
• Valid Texas driver’s license (Class C) or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and maintain geospatial data for FAMS, PBS, and related databases.
• Develop and maintain mapping applications and geodatabase structures.
• Document processes for stakeholder training and team development; ensure reproducible workflows.
• Collaborate with GIS team across the division to support initiatives.
