Job summary

Stonefield Engineering & Design in Salem, MA is seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager with 4+ years of experience to join the Traffic Engineering Team. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth and cross-disciplinary work within civil and transportation engineering.

You will lead project tasks, prepare traffic impact studies, coordinate with private developers and public agencies, and mentor junior staff. A PE license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Must be a licensed PE.
• Minimum 4 years of traffic engineering experience.
• Experience with site plan permitting and private entitlements preferred.
• Proficiency in HCS and Synchro/SimTraffic.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Team player who can work cross-disciplinarily.

Responsibilities

• Teach and train entry-level to mid-level designers and analysts.
• Prepare Traffic Impact and Parking Studies.
• Perform Intersection Capacity Analyses and design traffic signals/roadway improvements.
• Prepare Maintenance and Traffic Control drawings and timing directives.
• Develop submissions to jurisdictional bodies and manage projects.
• Coordinate with zoning and land development permits; field inspection and reporting.
