Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, motivates, coordinates, and trains subordinate personnel to accomplish their assigned goals.
• Develops traffic signal optimization policies, design procedures, and specifications.
• Directs the annual statewide Traffic Signal Coordination and Timing (SCAT) Program with district offices.
• Reviews and approves traffic signal system plans for inclusion in contract lettings.
• Ensures state-of-the-art software is available and used by regions and local agencies.
• Trains personnel and develops training materials for timing and operation of interconnected systems.
