Job description

• Technical Leadership & Design: Oversee traffic signal design, MOT, and pavement marking plans while ensuring full compliance with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and MUTCD guidelines. Conduct quality control reviews and mentor staff.
• Project Delivery & Strategy: Manage project scheduling, staffing, and subconsultant coordination. Support business development through scope writing, proposal development, and client presentations.
• Client Relations & QA/QC: Act as the primary technical point of contact for public-sector clients (state, county, municipal) and maintain agency quality management protocols.
• Required Experience: 8+ years in roadway/transportation engineering with a strong focus on traffic signal design.
• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois (or obtainable within 4 months).
• Key Focus Areas: Traffic signal design, signing & pavement markings, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans, and mentoring junior engineers.
