As an Arrow Electric Traffic Signal Technician, you will be part of a Team that is passionate about their craft and shares a common goal of exceeding customer expectations. You will be responsible for providing high quality installations, maintenance, and repairs to traffic signal systems, while adhering to assigned schedules, quality, safety and regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Install and maintain traffic signal systems (conduit, wiring, poles, signal heads, controllers, cabinets, switches, vehicle detectors, hardware, cabinets, etc.) in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  2. Remove, adjust, repair, or replace traffic signal heads, signal controllers, pedestrian head assemblies, cabinets, and roadway lighting as required.
  3. Install, maintain, and repair vehicle identification and detection systems.
  4. Install and maintain traffic signal loops to include preparing and operating road cutting equipment, installing traffic loop systems, and post-installation roadway cleanup.
  5. Operate backhoes, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, pole trucks, and bucket trucks in a safe and appropriate manner to install and maintain traffic signals.
  6. Operate vehicles and equipment on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of surroundings and work environment.
  7. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
  8. Perform all work in a safe manner in compliance with all federal, state, local, project, and company Uncompromised safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience installing and maintaining traffic signals and traffic signal systems.
  2. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating equipment, including backhoes, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, digger derricks, and bucket trucks.
  3. IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1 or Level 2 preferred.
  4. Kentucky Electrical License preferred (EE or ME).
  5. Must have a valid driver's license (CDL A preferred).
  6. Must be able to travel as needed (up to 75%).
  7. High standard of integrity and professionalism.
