Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group in Centennial, CO is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician to install, inspect, and maintain traffic signal systems and ITS devices. You’ll collect field data, maintain asset inventories, and perform troubleshooting and upgrades under the supervision of the City Traffic Engineer.

The role requires IMSA certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a team with strong safety practices. On-call responsibilities and after-hours work may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• IMSA Work Zone Safety certification or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• IMSA Traffic Signal Technician I or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• One year of experience in the traffic signal field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must possess a valid State driver’s license.
• Must be capable of personally driving a company vehicle in the performance of the duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic signal and ITS maintenance and construction services, including preventive maintenance, device replacement or upgrade, and new device installation.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate work activities with management and other departments; review status and exchange information.
