Job summary

Traffic Control Devices, LLC is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician I to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems. The role requires reading blueprints, servicing controllers, detectors, and related hardware, and performing on-site duties in various weather conditions.

The position calls for lifting, climbing, and working at heights, with IMSA certification preferred and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• IMSA Certification preferred.
• Ability to distinguish the range of color spectrum.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to work at heights over 15 feet.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and repair of signal supports, cabinets, and detection systems.
• Maintenance and repair of controllers, signs, signals, and lights.
• Build and install signal flasher units and load relays.
• Tuning vehicle detectors and adjusting signal control phase timing.
• Installing hardwired, microwave radio telemetry, fiber optics, and surveillance equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Assist in on-site work duties.
