Job summary

Econolite is hiring a full-time ITS Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain traffic signals and ITS devices across Tampa and surrounding areas. The role includes field work, cabling, camera and sensor maintenance, and occasional on-call duties.

Travel within Florida and possibly across the US is expected. Relevant IMSA/FDOT certifications and a valid license are preferred, with safety and quality as top priorities in a dynamic ITS environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of related ITS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
• Ability to interpret design schematics, site plans, and engineering drawings.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and DMV record; CDL preferred if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain ITS equipment including CCTV, radar, loop detectors, and signs.
• Perform field implementation of traffic control devices and cabling installations.
• Operate bucket truck for maintenance and travel to project locations.
• Act as a proactive company ambassador and provide on-call support as needed.
