Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Traffic Signal Engineer to join our ITS Team in the Greater Miami area. You will assist in traffic and ITS studies, prepare signal plans for FDOT and local agencies, and develop traffic simulations using Synchro, VISSIM, and Sidra.

Work alongside project managers to deliver safe, efficient intersections and corridors. You will gain exposure to smart infrastructure, CAV technologies, and a variety of disciplines, contributing to projects across the Southeast while advancing

Qualifications

BS degree in mechanical, civil, transportation engineering or electrical engineering and 3-5 years applicable experience
Experience with traffic signal design, ITS studies, and signal timing analyses
Familiarity with industry tools such as Centracs, Synchro, VISSIM, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and CAD

Responsibilities

Design and develop signal and ITS plans and specifications.
Conduct safety and operational analysis for intersections and corridors.
Prepare signal timing reports and review plans.
Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure project efficiency and compliance.
Develop traffic simulations using Synchro, VISSIM, and Sidra.
Research standards and implement smart infrastructure and CAV technologies.
