Qualifications

• Equivalent to a two-year degree in electronics, telecommunications, networking, or a related field.
• Two years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing relevant electronic systems.
• A valid, lawful Driver License.
• IMSA Level I/II Traffic Signal Technician certifications within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, install, and calibrate traffic electronics, including signal controllers, ramp meters, lighting, alarms, cameras, message boards, telecommunications, and traffic management systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair traffic control systems and equipment.
• Assemble, fabricate, and repair structures and equipment using drawings and instructions.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, systems, and networks for safe operation and quality.
• Install and configure parts, wiring, hardware, and software.
• Diagnose system and network problems and identify root causes; escalate as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate scheduled repairs.
• Update device and process configurations to improve efficiency and performance.
• Coordinate projects and support other staff as needed.
