Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil or systems engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-training (EIT/EI) certification or plan to obtain within 6 months for all other engineering degrees.
• 0–5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil or systems engineering.
• Ability to write in a professional and grammatically correct manner.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients across the southeastern US.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic signal design, CAD and field work.
• Assist with traffic signal corridor retiming, including field work, implementation, and fine-tuning.
• Assist with design computations and plan preparations.
• Assist with other traffic and safety studies, including field work.
• Assist in designing projects per client specs using design software and drawing tools.
• Assist with developing project quantities for construction cost estimates.
• Assist in preparing engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
