The City of Missouri City seeks two Sign Technician II to join the Public Works Department. The role covers construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signs and pavement markings within the City.

Reporting to the Chief Signal Technician, you will support sign installation and materials handling. Responsibilities include operating striping equipment, reading plans, and following TxDOT and City standards.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least two years of relevant work in construction, maintenance, or skilled labor.
• Must obtain IMSA Work Zone Traffic Safety Certification within one year of employment.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Operate hand-operated machines and pavement-marking equipment.
• Read, interpret, and understand engineering plans and specs.
• Set up and remove traffic control signs and devices at job sites.
• Assist with paving preparation and application of thermoplastic materials.
• Ensure compliance with TxDOT requirements and city standards.
