Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring Protectors to work with a team at job sites. No experience or degree is needed. We train you, support you, and help you build a career focused on traffic safety.

Your daily work includes setting up cones, signs, and barricades; using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic; and following all safety rules taught in training. Shifts may include nights or weekends and you may stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Lift 40–50 pounds and operate in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take equipment down.
• Guide traffic using stop/slow paddle and monitor job site activity.
• Adhere to training safety rules and communicate with crew.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outdoors year-round, sometimes nights, weekends, or emergencies.
