Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is hiring a Protector to manage traffic safety at job sites. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and help maintain site safety. Training is provided and shifts can include nights or weekends.

The role involves standing or walking 8 to 12 hours per shift in various weather conditions, with safety as the top priority. Benefits include paid training and progression opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive role).
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take down traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
