Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking Protectors to manage traffic at job sites. No experience or degree required; training provided. Operators set up cones, signs and barricades, guide traffic with stop/slow paddles, and follow safety rules.

Expect outdoor work year-round with possible night or weekend shifts. Wear safety gear; bring steel-toe boots. Paid training and safety certificate offered. Roles include communicating with crew and supervisor, maintaining equipment, and remaining alert around moving

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the time.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic control equipment down.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job-site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside all year in all weather.
• Shifts may change; some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required.
• Stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.
• Wear provided safety gear; bring own steel-toe boots.
