Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc in Dayton, OH is seeking Protectors to work at traffic control job sites. No experience or degree is required; we provide training and support to help you build a career.

Your daily duties include setting up cones, signs, and barricades, using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, and following safety rules taught in training. You may work nights or weekends and stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long periods.
• Lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule; may include nights/weekends.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
