Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc in Youngstown, OH is hiring a Protector to join a team on job sites. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and help keep equipment clean and safe. No experience or degree is required, as training is provided and safety comes first.

You will work outdoors in all weather, with shifts that may include nights or weekends. Expect 8 to 12 hour days, ongoing safety training, and opportunities for advancement to lead protector or supervisor

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Able to stand, walk and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs and barricades at job sites.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic.
• Follow all safety rules learned in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
