Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking a Protector for site-based traffic management. No prior experience or degree is required, as we provide comprehensive training.

You will set up traffic control devices, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules at all times. Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work. You will work outdoors in all weather, potentially standing 8–12 hours per shift, with provided safety gear and opportunities for advancement to roles such as Lead

Qualifications

• No experience or degree required; comprehensive training provided.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule; may include nights, weekends, or emergency shifts.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, barricades and take down traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
