Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join a site-based team. No experience or degree is required; we provide comprehensive training and prioritize safety to help you build a lasting career.

Daily duties include setting up cones, signs, and barricades; using a stop/slow paddle; and guiding traffic while ensuring equipment and vehicles remain clean and safe. Expect outdoor work year-round, with flexible shifts that may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (must pass pre-hire screening and drug test)
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather
• Flexible schedule; show up on time, every shift
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required
