Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring a Protector to work with a crew at job sites. No experience or degree is required; we provide training and support to help you build a career in traffic safety.

Your daily duties include setting up traffic control equipment, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and following safety rules learned in training. Expect outdoor work in all weather, with some night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety sensitive job).
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic control equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training and communicate with your crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside in all weather and shifts may include nights/weekends.
