Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is hiring Protectors to work on traffic management sites. No experience or degree is required. Training and safety certification are provided, with duties including setting up cones, signs, barricades, and guiding traffic using a stop/slow paddle.

Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies. You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift. PPE is provided; you bring steel-toe boots. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Following all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor.
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Working outside all year, in all weather.
