Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring Protectors to work at traffic sites. No experience or degree is needed; we provide training and support to help you build a career in traffic management. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety procedures in all weather.

Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to stand, walk, and lift 40–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• No experience or degree required.
• We train you and support you on the job.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test (safety sensitive).
• Able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades; remove traffic control equipment.
• Use stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
