AWP Safety, based in the United States, is hiring for a Protector to work at various job sites. No prior experience or degree is needed, and training is provided. The role involves setting up cones and barricades, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and following safety rules in all weather conditions.

Shifts include nights, weekends, or emergencies as needed, with 8–12 hour work days outdoors. Employees receive safety gear, and the company covers training and a traffic safety certificate.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive job)
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the time
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs: some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required
• You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift
