State of North Carolina’s Department of Transportation seeks an Engineer III (S) to coordinate and oversee transportation projects from concept to completion. You’ll manage traffic signals, pedestrian improvements, signage and pavement markings, liaising with municipalities and private firms to address growth and traffic concerns.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and four years of related experience; PE licensure may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4 years of related experience.
• Professional engineer licensure may be required by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with municipalities, agencies and engineering firms.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and oversee all phases of transportation projects from concept to completion.
• Manage projects funded by programs such as HSIP, High Impact Low Cost, and others.
• Review engineering plans for compliance with traffic engineering principles and design standards.
• Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians; ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
