Kimley-Horn is seeking a Practice Leader to expand the Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in Tampa, FL. The role includes growing the local practice, leading projects, and driving business development with municipal, state, and private clients.

Autonomy and a strong leadership platform provide the opportunity to build a roadmap for the practice and potentially move toward ownership. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of relevant experience, a P.E.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, or ITS planning and design.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Proven track record of winning and delivering work in the local area.
• Established relationships with local DOT, agencies, or municipalities.
• Ability to manage projects profitably and mentor staff.
• Strong client communication and leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to grow and lead a Transportation/Traffic practice.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead a Transportation/Traffic practice in the Tampa area.
• Assist in marketing and business development with municipal, state, and private clients.
• Provide vision, strategy, and goals; build client relationships.
• Manage projects profitably, transition work to staff, and mentor team members.
• Operate with integrity and act as a positive leader and mentor.
