Kimley-Horn in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder to expand our Aviation practice. The role leads an aviation team, develops client relationships, and drives project delivery from design through construction.

The successful candidate will manage profitability, mentor staff, and grow the practice toward ownership opportunities, with a strong emphasis on leadership, business development, and high-quality aviation design work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing airport design and construction projects.
• PE license (Professional Engineer) required.
• Experience in business development and marketing, including proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting.
• Strong communication and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand an Aviation team and practice in Tampa, Florida.
• Review design documents for airside and landside aviation projects including grading, drainage, pavement design, specs, and construction safety plans.
• Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction.
• Grow and mentor staff, manage profitability, and pursue ownership opportunities.
