Zusammenfassung

AECOM is seeking a well-qualified Traffic or ITS Engineer to support a hybrid role across multiple offices in the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. The position focuses on delivering traffic analyses, ITS design, safety studies, and transportation planning for high-impact regional projects that improve mobility and safety for communities.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, mentor junior staff, and manage tasks to meet budget and schedule while upholding AECOM quality

Qualifikationen

• BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Preferred 5 years of experience in civil engineering with emphasis in traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards.
• Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months.

Aufgaben

• Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
• Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
• ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.
• Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.
• Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation
• Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards
• Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants
• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities
