Job summary

AECOM is seeking a well-qualified Traffic or ITS Engineer to join our hybrid offices across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. You will analyze traffic, perform safety studies, and contribute to ITS projects with a focus on delivering high-impact transportation solutions.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS with 4+ years of experience, strong communication, and a background in traffic simulation software.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Responsibilities

• Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
• Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
• ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.
• Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.
• Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities
