Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Traffic/ITS Engineer to support a hybrid role across multiple offices in the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. The position involves traffic analysis, ITS projects, and transportation design, contributing to local and regional efforts.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, and familiarity with Agency/DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
• Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation.
• ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process.
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects and review technical work.
• Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards.
• Coordinate directly with other discipline groups, external clients and sub-consultants.
• Independently perform primary design elements for engineering works.
