Job summary

HarbisonWalker International is seeking a Traffic Specialist II to manage load tendering and ensure cost effective transportation that aligns with corporate objectives. You will oversee logistics invoice payment processing and provide oversight.

The role requires a B.S. degree in Business/Logistics, advanced Excel, Oracle/OTM experience, and strong analytical and collaborative skills to coordinate with carriers and internal stakeholders. This is an on-site Pittsburgh position.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. degree in Business, Logistics or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of Oracle/OTM and web-based software (CarrierPoint, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to work in a team.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data to make decisions.
• Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple priority projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are dispatched and assigned for pickup on the correct ship date to meet delivery dates, cost-efficiently.
• Create all physical transactions and shipping docs (bills of lading, packing slips, export docs).
• Manage logistics metrics: cost, 3-day lead time, performance; report to stakeholders.
• Communicate daily with shipping sites, carriers and internal/external customers.
• Audit freight invoices and process payments.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
