DHL Supply Chain in the United States seeks a Transportation Manager II to coordinate and supervise freight movement, optimize carrier utilization, and drive cost-efficient delivery operations. You will lead the traffic function, manage a carrier base, and develop risk-based plans to ensure timely shipments to customers.

Key responsibilities include supervising inbound/outbound scheduling, implementing track-and-trace processes, and guiding staff development while ensuring regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required.
• 3-5 years experience in related field, required.
• Working knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, required.
• Experience with the transportation management function, required.
• Experience with account management with a logistics organization, preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and supervise all traffic functions relating to freight movement in and out of a facility.
• Direct and supervise scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments to ensure economical carrier utilization.
• Manage the defined carrier, monitor performance, and discuss improvements with carrier representatives.
• Develop and implement a proactive track and trace process for timely deliveries.
• Direct transportation associates, hire/train, and manage performance evaluations.
• Manage and administer the facility truck fleet, including drivers and maintenance.
• Prepare billings and process freight payments; establish audits for cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and operate transportation information reporting systems and reports.
