Wooster & Associates in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Director of Traffic Engineering to lead and grow our traffic practice, blending practice ownership, business development, client relationships, and organizational leadership.

This senior role requires setting strategy, mentoring engineers, and ensuring technical excellence across project delivery, with a hybrid, North Shore-based work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active PE license.
• 12+ years in traffic engineering and transportation consulting experience.
• Led and scaled engineering teams.
• Proven business development success, growing a practice's revenue.
• Proficiency with Synchro, SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS and related software.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic direction, growth targets, and P&L performance of the traffic engineering practice.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the practice's engineers, designers, project managers, and staff.
• Set and uphold technical standards, quality assurance, and a culture of accountability and growth.
• Serve as the firm's senior technical authority for traffic engineering.
