The role involves AutoCAD/OpenRoads basics, Synchro and Vistro usage, field visits, and data collection, with a focus on hands-on traffic engineering tasks for a student.

Qualifications

• Must be a college junior and enrolled in a civil engineering program.
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Local candidates preferred as the position is part-time for a current civil engineering student.
• Traffic engineering experience and/or class work is strongly preferred.
• Interested in pursuing a career in traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Understand engineering studies, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform and check engineering calculations.
• Perform quantity calculations and take-offs.
• Basics of AutoCAD and/or OpenRoads.
• Prepare Traffic Engineering studies using Synchro, Vistro, and Office products.
• Conduct field visits.
• Familiarize with traffic engineering software.
• Back-check drawings.
