WSP USA invites motivated students to join our Transportation Team as a Full‑Time Traffic Engineering Intern in Philadelphia, PA. This 12‑week summer program offers hands‑on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real projects alongside senior staff.

Eligible candidates are enrolled in Civil Engineering at undergraduate or graduate level, with a graduation date of August 2027 or later, and authorization to work in the United States. No relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program (Undergrad/Graduate/PhD) with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Civil Engineering and strong desire to grow with WSP's projects.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic engineering and transportation planning projects (traffic studies, multi-modal planning, modeling).
• Support road safety and transportation safety planning tasks.
• Assist with transportation design projects (signals, traffic markings, ITS design).
• Support preparation of final design plans, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to WSP policies.
