Job summary

Ardurra in Houston, TX seeks a Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will assist in design, analysis, and field data collection for municipal transportation projects, gaining exposure to real-world civil engineering tasks and software tools.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, with familiarity in Bentley/Autodesk software and strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software preferred (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS).
Strong organizational, writing and communication skills.
Team-oriented, self-motivated and able to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist in design and analysis of transportation infrastructure, including roadway and drainage.
Prepare drawings, reports, memos, and specifications.
Conduct transportation design, modeling, calculations and quantity take-offs.
Participate in field investigations and data collection.
Support budgeting, regulatory compliance, and project scheduling.
