Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our team in Orlando, FL for the summer of 2027. You will support a range of transportation projects that serve municipalities and public agencies, gaining real-world engineering experience.

The role offers exposure to design, modeling, calculations, and permitting tasks, with supervision and opportunities to contribute to field data collection and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with Bentley or Autodesk software (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of transportation infrastructure projects (roadways, drainage, markings).
• Prepare drawings, reports, memoranda, and specifications.
• Conduct design modeling, calculations, and quantity take-offs for projects.
• Support field investigations, data collection, and site inspections.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes and assist in cost estimates.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory documentation, and project scheduling.
• Review design drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Utilize engineering software, MS Office, and design programs for project tasks.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support the team as needed.
