Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of professional traffic engineering experience.
• Experience with Traffic Management Center operations is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering designs and recommend improvements based on established engineering principles.
• Prepare, operate, and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and graphics for traffic systems.
• Assist in the design and implementation of traffic engineering improvements including signal timing.
• Monitor traffic patterns through field observations and data collection for operations and planning.
• Maintain organized digital files and documentation for traffic projects.
• Interpret technical materials such as traffic signal plans and construction drawings.
• Operate traffic models and troubleshoot software/hardware issues.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and public officials.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
