Qualifications

• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer certification is preferred.
• Texas Driver’s License, Class C, required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide engineering support for traffic signal operations, monitoring, and system improvements.
• Review and evaluate traffic engineering design plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide traffic signal operation and design services, including configuring and troubleshooting signals.
• Maintain central traffic signal management software and ensure reliable communication with field devices.
• Respond to inquiries from citizens, vendors, and staff with timely assistance.
• Conduct data collection, field evaluations, and studies for planning and decisions.
• Supervise staff, provide leadership and performance oversight.
• Administer projects and grants related to traffic operations and infrastructure.
