Join us to apply for the Traffic Engineer role at KCI.

This position requires a traffic engineer with 2 or more years of relevant experience to work on public and private sector traffic engineering projects. Responsibilities include traffic modeling, impact analysis, signal design, ITS design, signing and striping plans, and corridor studies.

Key duties include:

• Preparing traffic signal, pavement marking, signing, lighting, and maintenance plans
• Designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
• Data collection and traffic impact analyses
• Traffic and safety studies
• Transportation planning studies
• Cost estimation and report writing

The ideal candidate will have:

• B.S.C.E. degree (Master's preferred)
• E.I.T. certification (P.E. preferred)
• Knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway Safety and Capacity Manuals
• Familiarity with TxDOT standards
• Proficiency in CADD, HCS, SYNCHRO, Vistro, VISSIM, SIDRA, AGi32, MS Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills
