Job summary

HDR is seeking a Traffic EIT/Coordinator in Austin, TX. You will support traffic forecasting, analysis and design across diverse projects, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners and technicians to deliver effective mobility solutions.

Responsibilities include modeling-driven analyses, CAD design, safety assessments, and coordination with project leadership. We support an employee-owned culture and professional growth within a dynamic transportation group.

Qualifications

• Able to multitask on many projects at once.
• Willing to obtain EIT for career progression if not already certified.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a traffic team under the direction of the Project Engineer/Manager on forecasting, analysis and design needs.
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using modeling tools for various transport projects.
• Focus on traffic design incl. signage, striping, signals, ITS and real-time traffic information.
• Perform CAD design using MicroStation, AutoCAD and Guide Sign software.
• Use analysis tools like HCS, Synchro, VISSIM and Aimsun for operational analysis.
• Carry out safety analysis with Highway Safety Software; perform other duties as needed.
