STV is seeking a Traffic Design Engineer in Owings Mills, MD, to design safer, smarter transportation systems and support traffic safety analyses. You will work with engineers across disciplines on highways, interchanges, and multimodal facilities while expanding your skills and career within STV's South Region.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years of traffic engineering or transportation design experience.
• Experience developing traffic control device designs.
• EIT preferred; ability to obtain Maryland PE licensure.
• Public DOT experience is highly desired.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD; OpenRoads Designer preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop traffic signal designs including phasing, timing, detection, and cabinet/controller plans.
• Prepare ITS designs for CCTV, dynamic message signs, fiber layouts and field devices.
• Design signing and pavement markings per MUTCD guidelines using GuideSign.
• Develop Maintenance of Traffic designs per SHA and MUTCD standards.
• Create lighting plans using VISUAL or Agi32 photometric design software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Conduct field reviews and verify design assumptions.
• Assist with specifications, quantities, cost estimates, and bid packages.
• Apply SHA, MUTCD, AASHTO standards to project deliverables and QA/QC.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

EIT certification preferred

PE licensure in Maryland

Traffic control device design experience
