Job summary

HDR is seeking a Traffic Design Coordinator to join our employee-owned team in Texas. You will work with a traffic group on forecasting, analysis and design for a range of transportation projects, applying modeling tools and CAD software to deliver comprehensive traffic solutions.

The role emphasizes design of signing, striping, signals, ITS, CCTV and VMS, along with safety analyses and cross-functional collaboration within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Work with traffic team on forecasting, analysis and design for transportation projects.
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using modeling tools (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun).
• Focus on traffic design including signing, striping, signals, lighting, ITS, CCTV and VMS.
• Perform traffic design using CAD platforms MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Contribute to safety analyses and other duties as needed.
