Florida Department of Transportation seeks a Traffic Support Specialist in Transportation Data and Analytics to develop, maintain, and quality-check traffic data processes, including annual statistical factors to federal agencies, and manage data extraction across mainframe and Oracle databases.

You will oversee bicycle and pedestrian data sites, coordinate field operations, and support interagency studies, ensuring standards compliance and high data quality.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of professional traffic related experience; post-secondary education can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
• Knowledge of bicycle/pedestrian and motorized traffic monitoring concepts and data collection methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; strong data handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and quality-check traffic data processes and annual factors for federal reporting.
• Manage data extraction from mainframe and Oracle databases and upload finalized data to inventories.
• Oversee bicycle/pedestrian data collection sites and field operations; support emergency analyses.
• Produce ad hoc reports and support interagency studies while ensuring standards compliance.
• Assist with polling, processing, storage, retrieval, and reporting of traffic data.
