Job summary

NFI is seeking a part-time Traffic Coordinator to manage check-in/check-out for incoming trucks and shipments and complete related paperwork. The role involves coordinating drivers, opening/closing shipments in the WMS, and ensuring accurate bills of lading and documents.

The position requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office, and strong data-entry accuracy. Bilingual Spanish is preferred, with nontraditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job description

Overview

The Traffic Coordinator will manage the check in/check out process for all incoming trucks and shipments and complete all related documents.

Part-Time: Three 10-hour shifts on either Thursday, Friday, and Saturday or Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Responsibilities

• Receive all drivers, provide direction for outbound shipments.
• Using a warehouse management system, systemically open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
• Ensure all drivers depart with appropriate paperwork.
• Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Gather, enter into warehouse management system, and maintain all data and records relative to shipping activities.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
• Audit trailer yard, comparing actual trailer inventory to YMS and WMS. Provide daily reports of accuracy and summary of corrective actions taken.
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed by leadership team.
• File all outbound paperwork so that it is easily accessible when needed.
• Maintain seal log accurately with necessary information.
• Maintain the load board with accurate information.

Qualifications

• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and yard management System (YMS) preferred.

• Good visual acuity to inspect shipments.
• Good finger dexterity to input data into inventory records.
• Ability to input data on computer to create a daily inventory report.
• Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received.
• Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, not required.
• Requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to sit for up to 10-12 hours.

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $19.00 an HOUR. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
