Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in California seeks a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. You will supervise crews and ensure performance aligns with safety regulations while coordinating with project teams.

Responsibilities include operating trucks, driving MOT/TMA vehicles, installing signs and cones, and maintaining work zones throughout shifts. Travel statewide may be required, with occasional nights and weekends as projects demand.

Qualifications

• ATSSA TCS intermediate training completion.
• 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Background check, drug test, and DOT requirements must be met.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on-site locations for worker safety.
• Place temporary construction signs and position arrow boards.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items stay in place and safe.
• Load traffic control items at shift start/end and maintain equipment.
