Job summary

Telecon-Design-USA in the Tacoma, WA region is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger. You will establish, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control zones for construction and utility projects, directing motorists and pedestrians to keep crews safe.

This role requires safety focus, reliability, and comfort working outdoors in varying weather. Valid ATSSA Flagger certification or ability to obtain upon hire is required, and travel up to 20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• ATSSA Traffic Control Technician or Flagger Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Experience in traffic control, flagging, construction, or roadway work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control devices.
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using paddles, signals, and radio.
• Perform lane closures and traffic shifts per approved plans and safety rules.
• Monitor work zones and ensure devices stay properly positioned.
• Communicate with crew, supervisors, contractors, and the public about traffic flow and safety.
